The Challenge

We went into the market first. Through dipstick research and desk analysis of the top players in the space, we spoke to Teiva’s top customers, beauty supply retailers and everyday product users to understand the real landscape: what trends were emerging, what competitors owned, and where the white space was.

From that research we built a sharper audience segmentation, then mapped out a brand positioning quadrant identifying the four key differentiators that matter most in the skincare space. We placed Teiva at the intersection of its existing strength, the proven restorative and healing power of its products, and where the market is clearly heading: sustainability. The positioning was not manufactured. The evidence was already in the products. We simply found the language and the framework to make it undeniable.

What SMC Did

The Results

From that foundation we crafted Teiva’s full brand substance: a new purpose, mission, vision and values, a defined brand positioning, a built-out audience profile, a brand persona with personality and tone of voice, and a communications framework with core messaging and storytelling structures.

The strategy gave their design consultant everything needed to build a new brand identity and visual system. It gave the business a clear brand architecture for categorising products and making more purposeful innovation decisions. And it gave them a future-proof communications framework, ensuring consistency in how they tell their story no matter who is doing the telling, and language ready to go for marketing their newly positioned and newly packaged products.
