The Challenge
We developed the original concept for the show: Music & Money, a series built around Bianca interviewing music’s most impactful names, not about the usual headlines, but about the financial reality of their craft. How they earn, how they manage, what their success actually costs and what lessons audiences can take to build their own wealth.
The concept caught the attention of executive producing partner and media mogul Anita Erskine, who saw the potential to expand it beyond music. The show became Culture & Money, widening the guest list to include culture’s biggest names across all fields and giving Bianca an almost unlimited runway of compelling conversations.
For Season 2, SMC joined the production as creative directors on set, responsible for maintaining the creative integrity and visual standard of the show across all 13 episodes, ensuring the final cuts represented a clear and measurable step up from the pilot season.

The Results
Season 2 was an undeniable success. The show garnered strong viewership on DStv, and before the season had even finished airing, DStv had initiated talks for a third and fourth season ahead of the executive producers’ own timeline. A show built around a fresh idea on its way to becoming a franchise.
